While the effects of colorism are most prevalent for dark-skinned black, the overall effect is synonymous : seperation in the Black Race and the feeling of never being good enough.
Light skin girl begins to question her authenticity as a Black Woman
Dark Skinned girl experiences feelings of low self esteem and begins believing that she is less of a person because her skin is darker.
